what's the compatibility of hooks/mods from ipb 3.4.x to 4.1.x and 4.2.x? is there issues or do they work anyways?

There is very low compatibility. Do not use 3x at all and 4.1 it did not worked well after i upgraded infact in disabled most of 4.2 features and i had to remove it through complicated database patches so I would say there is very low compatibility.

Hello friend! sorry for late response did not seen your question.

4.2 skins should be compatible with this but there could be some issues (wrong bg color for ex.) I had issue with wrong bg color that I patched using css but 4.2 skins are compatible with 4.2

Is their some special instructions to this or something? I can't even get the installation page to load on my site. I uploaded it all properly but I can't even load the directory to begin to install it.

What operating system do you use? Are you selfhosting it on your vps or you use webhosting?
