Newpoints Min Characters

It seems I've been misunderstanding the minimum characters setting for the newpoints plugin. Is there a way I can set it up so only posts with a certain number of characters get the points. Any posts with less don't get anything.

I checked the settings and seems like the option like that can't be done without external coding

You could hardcode it into the plugin but there is no feature for it as of yet though
