I recently found my old Nexus 5 and I'm trying to turn it back on. My phone broke and I need it as a back up. It's already rooted (bootloader unlocked, adb debugging enabled). My problem is that the Nexus 5 was notorious for having a bad power button and mine went bad. I'm not able to turn it on. But when i plug it into my laptop, I can get to the bootloader recovery screen but I cant use my power button to make my selection. I know there's gotta be a way I can do this using Cmd prompt/Power shellfrom my laptop but it's been a while since I've rooted and all that and I forget how to. My main question is: do I need Android SDK or Daemon Tools in order to do this? And how do I reboot it from Cmd prompt/Power shell? Is it simply adb reboot? Thanks in advance for the help.
