Ranking system is just for status. It doesn't do anything for you in the game. It's not like Call of Duty or Battlefield where you unlock stuff. The leveling system is just kinda.. there. Past level 3 it doesn't mean much because all people really need it for is to unlock competitive matchmaking.

Blocked by someone - Dies Accidentally blocks someone - "Get out the way you fuc**** idiot!!" Decide to save - "You're a fuc**** coward!!" Decide not to save - "Save you fuc**** idiot!!" Kill someone while defending the bomb - "You fuc**** camper!!" Kill someone while defending the hostages - "You fuc**** camper!!"
