But that's one of the problems on Nulled. Members aren't participating in the forums sadly. You see dozens of members log in yet 5% actually post.
Anyways, using discord to talk to people is OK. The Nulled discord is the problem. Want to message and talk to friends and forum members? Sure, USE discord, that's fine! But having a Nulled Discord will suck activity away. What makes it worse is channels. It's like discord IS the forum. For example, the music channel. This would be useful for the music sections here on Nulled and the Harmony group. Also many Discussions and topics discussed on Discord could have been made on Nulled, trust me, there were plenty of things that could have been threads.
Again, I blame most of the members including myself for not providing enough activity.
The reason I'm responding to this is because I wanted to give my opinion on the subject. And my opinion as of now is that I dislike posting on forums.

If you're basing activity off of posts (which is what I think you are doing because you wanted to make the chit chat section bigger) then Nulled wouldn't ban any leechers.
Also I don't think making the Chit Chat Zone the new discord will make new members wanna join. What do you think they'll see our dumb conversations with like 5 words in them and say "yeah this forum seems like a forum I would like to join"

One I thought of was credits for upgrades. Generally being able to buy more usable features with credits. Maybe paying credits to add or change signature slots. Maybe paying some credits to change avatar. Pay to change username? Basically the more you contribute and stay active the more you can do idk.
I didn't ask for someones agreement, I asked because I see none of the forums doing that. Only thing I agree here is maybe credit paid signature slots as in, you can make multiple signatures and then pick which one should be displayed. Yes you can do that with just saving ur shit in the notepad, but that's what a feature paid for credits should be. Denying users to change avatar and overall restricting basic customization options isn't really a way to increase activity.
Username changes etc are granted through upgrades. No need to take features from already upgraded users.

Forcing people to post is the worst strategy I've heard. Taking something away that people enjoy isn't going to make them use an alternative. That has been the case for many other services.
Discord is more relaxed than the forum, you aren't bound to strict rules and you don't have any goals to work for or anything that forces you to use the server instead of the forum.
You've also been talking like NBB's Discord is the most active thing in the world, it's more dead than the forum most of the time.
(I'm tired and hungry so if something doesn't make sense or typos or w/e then yh)

#24 I do agree with the Discord thing. I think it does take some activity away. I also agree that we have too many groups.
But I don't see how a forum must reward its users? I think the reward is the actual input - the posts and threads. I don't need the forum to reward me if I have an acitve userbar that I can write with about topics that interests me. That's probably -for me- one thing thats lacking - people with common interests. But that's of course on my site.
I think we need to get the core users of this forum to be very active again and maybe try to get some more users that will actually stay.
Sadly I can't be more active than I currently am, because I live in a squatted forest. We do have internet in 1 treehouse but that one is not in the treehouse town where I live in, so I have to get 10-15 a month for phone internet, which is pretty hard because I can't go to work since I have live in that squat.
For anyone who is interested: Activist, like me, squat and live in the forest so europes biggest energy company - RWE - can't cut down the trees to start digging for coal. From the once 5.500 ha of forest there's only a tenth left. A tenth. Just so they can get their fucking money.
Here's the internet site for our squat, in German though: https://hambacherforst.org/

We're not forcing anyone lol You don't have to post on Nulled. Forcing would be make 2 posts a week or get banned. By removing discord you give users two choices, post on the forum, or don't post. Like I said before, discord is fine, you can message forum members, the individual member can do whatever they want with that. But once you have an official nulled discord, people will think its OK to just post only in discord most of the time because hey, it's nulled, its more convenient, why post in the forum.

I think people are taking my rewards thing the wrong way but let me reexplain it.
I feel like we should focus on individual members, and provide/emphasis goals. I understand that people don't need rewards but obviously on this forum people barely show up to post even when there are topics. I'm just laying put some examples we can do because clearly if people don't come to nulled for the sake of posting then there is something nulled isn't providing.

That's a contradiction because posting an opinion means you have interest in this topic. If you dislike posting on forums you wouldn't have posted. You took the time to compile a reason for a cause.

We won't provide buyable features for credits which upgraded members have. Kinda defeats the purpose of upgrading.
Make it ridcoulously expensive for normal users and then upgraded users have infinite freedom idk.

#27 i use a credit system on my site as well.. users can earn them not only from posting but from leaving users rep, we have also added limits so they can not spam this system. maybe even add credits for logging in every day, makes users more active to sign in..
When i joined here i only wanted to unlock one post.. that was a month ago, i login every day now just to check it out, i dont always post but i do login every day.. i think this site is great and has so much potential, im sure no matter what you guys do it will work out

Even if they add something like credits for each day at login we still have nothing at all to use them for. You know what I mean?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bubble's topic isn't about the credits tbh, believe me, the regulars who've been here for the past 2 years have enough of those lying around. They just don't have the incentive to post anymore since either it's not fun to post HQ posts in a sea thread of LQ leech posts or because they feel like every topic has already been debated over and exhausted.

Of all the problems and concerns with this forum, activity is the #1 problem that needs to be dealt with. There are many factors that play into the activity, discord isn't the only thing. I have a feeling that some people are taking my suggestions as the core problems. These are just things I've seen with my own eyes, one perspective. This thread should be getting people thinking. Feedback and criticism on my ideas isn't the only thing people should be posting, rather accompanying ideas with those feedbacks. If we don't do that we'll get nowhere tbh.
