So a while ago I ran into thisbundle of joy, a game named "One Life" that supposedly offered fun gameplay online with a "permadeath" mechanic.
The idea is that you play and once you die (Which is apparently relatively hard to do) you get locked out of it on Steam and simply can't access it.
I'm not particularly hyped for it, but a lot of people have been building energy around it. I was wondering about everyone else'sopinion?

Initially I think it was priced at something like $19.99 which, obviously, is ridiculous, it's been cut to a pre-order of $9.99
Which in my opinion, for being something that locks you out and takes your money, is still a terrible price.
There is no way they can assure that a user will get the gameplay they paid for, and whether or not they will just be instantly spawn-killed by some ultimate minge bags.

Anyone had a sneaky early-access look? Perhaps have any rants you want to express on how this is somewhat one of the most money-grabbing games ever created?

This game seems really interesting and innovative. i'm sure someone will release a patch that will allow you to play after dieing, however.

I'm not really sure if that's going to be possible, it would probably require steam authentication to play, and steam is supposed to completely lock you out.

Even then, people who use that would probably get a VAC ban and the game would just be fixed.

That's a good point though.

There are groups who "Crack" Steam Verification, I imagine it would have some sort of third party verification.

Fair enough. Then again, that would probably be fixed by creating cracked servers etc.

It all seems a bit too much just to get your moneys worth.
