One piece is good from the beginning or from a specific episode?

#1 I want to watch a long anime and my friends recommended One Piece, but because there are so many episodes, I don't know if the beginning is good enough to engage me.

slightly off topic but Hunter x Hunter is a great long-ish one ;p

The first day I started watching it, I just layed on my bed all day just watching it. From there I would just be watching like about 10-15 episodes a day. But some people don't really enjoy it from the start, so I guess you'd have to give it a try and see for yourself.
