Opinion on modern "y2k" clothes

#1 Do you believe that designers try too hard to create something advertise able, specifically clothing designs where it feels like they try to make y2k designs but it's clearly rushed/lacking passion

But it's important to remember that designers are just trying to make a living, and have to think about what will sell. And also fashion industry is always changing so they might just trying to keep up.
