Is league a good game to get into, or is it a hard game to understand

in general league is a good/fun game to get into, but it honestly can make people change for the worst. this is due to how toxic people are in league - a lot of people will flame/troll/insult you for not doing something correctly even if you are brand new to the game. this can deter new players and the fact that if you make a new account, you will most likely get stomped on by other people that are low level due to them making a new account.

it's better if you have friends that play it that can help you learn it and get into it, i wouldn't suggest playing by yourself. but you do you!
