Opinions on doxing?

is doxing someone where you leak their address? i mix up Doxing and DDoSing

If that information is being used in a malicious manner then I think that is okay.

Morally, I don't really agree with it, because people on the internet tend to go overboard with death threats, and leaking info can really put someone in danger. However, legally, there is soooooo much info out (at least on US citizens) that you can legally obtain if you look hard enough/pay enough because it's just public record.

Personally I saw it's case by case. Depends on the kind of person but in general is a malicious act and requires some def illegal things to do so.

Can you actually be doxxed if you have a dynamic IP that changes? Because my IP changes like every hour so does it mean i cant get doxxed?

Personally I think doxxing is fucked, but I mean if youre doing it with a valid reason then the more power to you.

I think its wrong to dox someone no matter what unless there real assholes idk.....
