It's been a while since we've really seen some disrupted products getting announced by chip makers, namely AMD this year. Everyone is expecting a big shift in the CPU market in general as the new line of Zen 2 processors are introduced and promises some extremely significant uplifts in performance at very competitive prices. Along with those processors is the Ryzen 9 3950X, the first ever mainstream CPU to hit the market with a whopping amount of 16 cores and 32 threads, AMD is clearly pulling out the big guns here.

So, what do you guys think of this development? Will AMD prevail and take over the Intel monopoly, or will Intel get them back and introduce some even more competitive solutions?

I thin AMD will prevail as of right now. Intel seems to have no plans for next generation CPU's currently.
