but Watch Dogs 2 is already cracked? It was just released so it must be running the newer version of Denuvo right?

It's not the software itself that's the problem. It's how it's implemented along with how it behaves on a case-by-case basis. In manycases, it's done quite well.

Yes, but it's on a case by case basis. If they can get all the checks removed and all of the dependencies replaced, then it is considered a full crack as the Denuvo instance will not update itself.

Some say yes, others say it's only a matter of time. But then again, you see companies like Steinberg with full-on physical device protection on their software that has yet to be cracked and they've had that for several years already. There hasn't been a fully cracked Cubase version in a long time.

But then again, you see companies like Steinberg with full-on physical device protection on their software that has yet to be cracked and they've had that for several years already. There hasn't been a fully cracked Cubase version in a long time.

Well, seeing as it took a collaboration between two scene groups (almost ataboo in the scene cracker community) to finalize the God Eater crack, it's going to be a long while before we start seeing Denuvo as a whole as defeated protection. If anything though, it's brought a community together, something that the piracy communities as of recent have been a bit short in. If only we had these sorts of things in the music production cracking scene lol
