I personally recommend Hades by Supergiant Games, it is simply overwhelming and fun.

Highly suggest Disco Elysium if you're looking for a good story game. Its really interesting, engaging, and innovative

Depends on what you enjoy playing. greenmangaming has some good sales at the moment. A few story driven games for under 4$

Try looking at humble bundle and/or itch.io, those sites usually have a lot of good cheap games (and also free ones too)
