PHP worth still?

Depends what kind of backend you need like ruby on rails is still used and its old as fuck.

I think php is great anymore, maybe not ideal but half on internet is on php.

PHP is still very popular as most applications are built with this platform. you will also see that it is very interesting if you understand it.

It's a clunky, awkward language and has to be ran on a server to be viewed, albeit in the background. It's not as versatile as Javascript I'd say but it's definitely something. It was a rave for a good 20 years and a lot of people still use it today, including me. I'm not even going to try and read into Node.
