I was born a girl and am female, but I feel it's not up to us to decide what others want to be, as long as it doesn't affect us. I don't necessarily think this is right or wrong, just don't care as long as it makes them happy. There are more important causes to fight for.

It's up to basic facts, not us lol, I agree with that much.
We don't call people girls because we feel like it, it's because they are, by definition, female.

I don't really understand people who have a problem with it. I don't think they are messed up, even if they are sure different. Let's try to think about what being make or female is (I'm talking about gender, not sex). There are stereotypes attached to each. Some people don't find into these, and they decide to have their own identity.
There are only two sexes. There are three types of races (caucasoid, mongoloid, negroid). Would you say a black person is messed up because they "act white"? What about a girl who shaves her head and acts masculine, without being transgender? How does that hurt you if she says she's non-binary?

Stereotypes are often good, e.g. Predators are dangerous and might kill and eat you.
Some stereotypes about males and females have been proven true with biology (height, muscle mass, where fat is stored etc.
Races are about the different lines of adaptation different groups of people have gone down. "Black people" while not actually black, have a higher concentration of melanin in the skin to defend from UV rays that can harm cells, knocking out atoms in DNA that can cause cancers. Culture and how you are raised mostly defines how you will act (biological influences can be overcome or ignored e.g. learning to control anger), races don't have large enough biological differences to dictate large differences in actions while males and females differ a fair amount.

The most widely understood difference in males and females that influences actions are hormones and how the brain acts:

"What happens when stress enters the picture? In male animals, "stress causes the dendrites in the hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex to shrink, and the spine synapses to be lost," he said. "By contrast, in the amygdala and in the orbital frontal cortex, the same stress causes dendrites to expand and new synapses to be formed."

Furthermore, studies in young male animals showed resilience an ability to rebound when stress is discontinued evidenced by the recovery of previously shrunken dendrites. However, "a middle-aged rat shows shrinkage and only partial recovery when the stress is terminated, and an aging rat shows the same amount of shrinkage in response to stress, but no evident recovery, even at three weeks (after the stressful incident)," demonstrating that age may hinder resilience.

By contrast, in female animals, the response to stress was very different, according to Dr. McEwen. Dendrites connecting to other nerve cells in the cortex didn't shrink as they did in males, and dendrites that communicate with the amygdala, a part of the brain that's important for fear and anxiety, responded to stress by actually expanding. However, that expansion only happened in the presence of estrogens, Dr. McEwen noted. "In other words, the female rat has to have her ovaries intact or we have to give her estradiol for this effect to occur," emphasizing the role of sex hormones in the female brain's stress response.

What do these differences mean? "The bottom line is, we don't have a complete picture," Dr. McEwen acknowledged. However, he speculated that the findings might help explain why, as other studies have shown, "women tend to respond to stress with anxiety and depression, whereas men take it out in a different way, showing more substance abuse and antisocial behavior." If, as research progresses, this turns out to be the case, then therapies might eventually be targeted to the affected brain regions, he suggested.""

(The last part of this source talks about something that I think had just been confronted by the 1st part, I don't agree with most of what it says.
Hence why I didn't quote that part)

I think there is more than 2 genders, i think this because anyone can be who they want to be and they can live life there way.

Ok then, my gender is you. You are my gender.
This doesn't work as the last pair of chromosomes, the sex chromosomes, define what gender you are. We use genders as it helps to know how someone's body will work (or not work) and how this will affect them in how they act and think. You can think that you have a made-up pair of chromosomes at the end of the sequence in every cell of your body but that doesn't mean that you do.
It's the same for religions - you can believe that being X does X but it doesn't mean that X does do that. I could believe that there is a duck at the centre of the universe that controls how my enemies think to give me a good battle, I could then go out and have a good battle, the conclusion I would reach strengthens my belief in this duck - but why did I believe in the duck in the first place. The belief in the duck most originates from the indoctrination from my parents, faithful duck-believers. (An analogy of why thinking that X is true, doesn't make it true

To be honest, I think there is only 2. People go delusional over the fact that they wanna be different. But some things are just basic biology.

The answer depends upon the demographics a voter has been living in. In our Eastern culture, there are only 2 genders i.e. Male and Female and nothing else. The LGBT community is not very welcoming here therefore their showing off in the public is strictly prohibited because of cultural values.

I "believe" there's only 2 genders. I've had so many arguments about this with one of my classmates about this.

There are two genders. It is all indicated if you have a dick or vagina. The rest is simply what we made up to explain what our emotions are telling us.
