So, now mojang is banning minecraft accounts that have migrated to mojang quickly and changed the password, email, etc.

SO, this means they monitor when that happens and will ban any accounts that look suspicious. Now if I were to buy an account and secure it as my own, I would have to leave the username [in-game name] and password the same, but change the email [locking the owner out] to a copy of it, such as:

Original: [email protected]

New: [email protected] OR [email protected]

This would get past mojang, tricking them into thinking you got a new email and alls fine.

Now for you to change your name and shit, you should probably change the name and password about a month after you change the email to the copy.

Source: I got my account banned :c

Good idea. Also, what does it look like when your account is banned? Just, you can't login?

Yep.

No, I tried the original and new pass:username for it, didn't work

I'm sorry to hear that :(

This has been going on for a while, and I didn't think they'd do another wave of locking. The accounts aren't banned, but they're locked from being able to login. The original email address was probably sent a message that they think their account has been compromised, where they can change the password from there.

When my account got stole in the heartbleed thing in 2014 the people were retarded.
They changed my password to something the exact same.
The original was *******1 and they changed it to *******11
They didn't change my email. This is a good idea though.
You can just add like a . to the email.
[email protected]

I waited about a week to migrate my account, and it seems to be all fine.

Adding a period will still send emails to the original email. (At least, if they use gmail)

For example, if you sent ataraxy.1 an email, it'll ignore the period and send it to ataraxy1.

Same applies to capitals.
yeah

Oh. That's strange.

Oh. That's strange.

It's actually really useful information. If you know how to use it and what things are vulnerable to it, it's highly exploitable.

Yeah guess that's true. Good point.
