I love it for being a sort of pioneer into battle royale games but the player count's been steadily declining leading up to and since the release of Fortnite in July of 2017 (including myself unfortunately :( )

I dont think it'll die. They have a loyal fan base that keeps on playing it even though other battle royal games are being released.
accepting credits in return for my friendship.

I think a lot more people are coming from Fortnite then PUBG onto APEX. But yeah, the player base is dropping in PUBG.

I stopped playing battle royale in general. I don't know why no single game developer can make well optimized game that runs smooth.

PUBG was great initially but they never really overhauled it the way it deserved and as a result of better competitors it's dying.

I feel PUBG was a good start, but they never really got around to fixing any the major performance issues and that ultimately killed it. I've never really been a fan of Fortnite but have played a fair amount with friends, but it's always felt like a cartoon to me. I also think it's a bit ridiculous to allow for so much building, because in reality, whoever can build the fastest will win. There is nothing angrier than shooting someone and then they build 20 walls all over the place to form a maze to find them, by the time you do they've already healed up and began sitting in a corner waiting for you. The super powers never felt natural and I felt gave a much bigger advantage to the person using them (and while you could pick them up as well, it usually forces you to stop moving, stop fighting, etc. and just makes it a hassle.) Lately I've been playing a small amount of Apex, and it feels to be pretty well balanced except if you don't play as a squad and use the cues, abilities, or actually work as a team... you've already lost 90% of the time.
