No, it was still incredibly big before Pewdiepie. I think every drive was behind it to ensure it was the most popular game of the period.

In my opinion, Minecraft would do well without it!!!!

Honestly Minecraft will strong forever. Even without Pewdiepie playing it it had a constant amount of players with full servers, maybe if Hytale gets released some Minecraft players will transfer over to that but I honestly think even then Minecraft would coexist.

Minecraft has always been popular but he inspired inspired me to play it again. I forgot how good the game was and how addicting it is.

Pewdiepie playing minecraft made everybody remember that minecraft existed in the first place. Most people just moved on from it and went on to play other games.
