Problems with Garry's Mod

This game takes a very long time to get the add-ons when connecting to the server. Is there anything that can be done to solve this?

You can either try to make a workshop collection people could subscribe to. Or else you might want to setup a FastDL on your server.

Well, Its sort of not bad at loading times, Since the longer it takes normally the better the server is.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Garry's Mod community issues, cause I was about to rant hardcore.

I would recommend doing a workshopDL (It's like FastDL) and it seems to load in quick for me, if not there is something on the gmod store which allows you to join in the server within minutes.

I would also recommend content packs. Use a tool to put all the addons into packs, then make the users just sub to them and boom, easy

Goto options -> Other -> Download no custom content

Get rid of addons you don't really use or activate fastdl.

Best thing you can do to join the servers with all its addons is to download all the addons it has either individually or by someones collection

Ask the server owner for a link to thier collection and download Counter Strike Source.
