I've been doing research on a good digital program to use. Currently I have wacom bamboo tablet that's about 8 years old, and I mostly use photoshop and illustrator for graphic work. I have an iPad mini but it's not compatible with the new app so I'd have to trade it in and buy a new ipad... People who use the program LOVE it, but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to invest in a nicer drawing tablet instead?

I have been using this with my ipad pro for about a year and its amazing especially with all of the assets being created for it as far as brushes go.

Arranged to borrow one off my friend for a week or so when he won't be using it, he's mentioned buying packs for it etc and says it's better than any tablet he's used previously, and he's always had some juicy gear

After years of trying to level up drawing tablets, i finally saved up enough to get a cheap (but new) ipad

I would get the ipad if i were you because with Astropad or Duet you can make the ipad into a secondary touchscreen monitor, and they both work pretty well. i do a lot of stuff this way and would reccomend the ipad because it can act as a monitor but also it does all the other stuff that an ipad would do.

and yes i have to admit, as much of a novelty as it is- procreate is super fun and has improved my work flow and even got me just drawing for fun again. would highly reccomend

You can get a 2019 10.5" ipad (not pro) for relatively cheap now

I still wanna get a Wacom Cintiq, just cause its big, like a 22" one. thats the dream. but until then, the ipad is a really good substitute plus you can play Grand Theft Auto on it i mean what more could you want :p

For me it was definitelly worth it, although I was skeptical at first - but I just find Procreate to be so magical!

I have been using Procreate for 3 months with my iPad Pro. I would never want to go back to a Wacom.
