Hey pal, i am from Russia - the country, that looks very foreign to my mates from other contries and is surrounded by a lot of stereotypes and humorous memes. If you are curious and want to ask a russian about his country - don't be shy to ask, i will answer all the questions you want, have fun :3

I always wondered if Russians really love drinking vodka and if they are potrayed as in memes etc. I would say, Russians are just like us but just another big country. And if you really hate other countries.

About Vodka it is true, there are a lot of alcoholics around the country and vodka is the cheapest and strongest drink that you can get. No party, picnic, or even corporal goes well without it, but russian people also drink beer a lot, it's not that strong so you can chug liters of this stuff. About the memes SOME russians are like that, but most look like they came from a soviet film or they are just cultureless hooligans, many times worse than american teens(at least there are exceptions). About hating other countries this exists within some extreme patriot layers. We usually call them (Vatnik, pronounced like "Wahtneek"), thease people hate america and couple other countries for no reason and blame them for every problem, praise every minor success that is being shown off on TV, usually they drink alot and watch our stupidifying government TV programmes. We even have a meme that portraits them

Any other questions, pal? :sip:

Do you guys know English well?

Really depends on a region and on age. If the city is one of the tourism centers, a person you are speaking with is between 21 and 32 and you aren't too far from civilisation then there's a good chance that this person knows english. But almost anyone can understand a few english words, like "Restraunt", "Hotel" or "Toilet" ;3. I highly recommend learning a few words in russian before going here and staying near the center of a city because things start to get ugly when you move too far away from it(tons of junk, ugly landshape, mean people)
