Question: How many of you actually understand what the blockchain is?

Blockchain seems to be used more as a buzzword rather than a descriptor for technology. I was simply wondering how many of you actually understand the technology of the blockchain and how it's used to create a currency? More specifically, have you ever read the actual paper originally describing the blockchain? I think it's very interesting to get to know the philosophy of the cypherpunks and the paper is a very good read.
