Realm buying?

Is buying a realm for friends worth its price? I am asking since I love to play but I dont know if Im ready to put in that money into the game.

Into what game, loads of games have realms. You need to be more clear.

No realms are SO BAD! Just buy a server ore something else. You can also make a server on your own computer, than other people can join also.
