Reasons to prefer Forums over Social Media?

Haha jking with ya. Anyways I prefeer Forums as stated above all those bullshit news and stuff on FB destroys everything. But as i got groups on there i check FB alot under a day. For the fun and see what my family/friends do and just having a laugh.

Forums is alot better as u learn something daily on a forum as there will always be people knowing more than myself in something!

Pahaha that cracked me up, I had a chinese takeaway, been dying for a good choi mein since being away from the UK.

Also forums are more social, I get more enjoyment out of the conversations, assuming you can filter past the leechers and bots.

I don't see why you can't use both. They're both for different people, and for different things to talk about

In a forum you're pretty much anon if you want to be, so you can talk as much shit as you want
Social media is more private / anime avatars aren't accepted there.

To add to the topic: I prefer social media, kind of lost interest in forums recently. Social media became more interesting to me as my social activities started increasing.

Yeah pretty cool place, most people are nice around here. I think you'll fit in well, welcome to the forums.

Social media for sure, people who are actually relevant to me (ha get rekt)
are on there.

Used to be addicted and very active on Instagram, but it just got boring honestly, I only check it once or twice a day really...

Forums is more fun cuz its about the same subject youre occupied with.

Social media is really useful for general keeping up with people, but forums are very good for niche/community based interactions.

Forums tend to be controllable, and so not everyone is invited to the party as it is the case with FB and Twitter. This allows for a much tighter community and more fruitful exchanges
