[Recommend] Ajax thread comments aka Live Threads.

I saw this plugin in MyBB plugin development forum and it sounds like something that is kind of interesting.

Basically you make a post and others see the post in real time, I think this would be something small, but amazing for the forum.

It would make it feel like more of a discussion board and would attract a different type of people for the general sections.

I am sorry that it's a public plugin in development, but I think that you have the skill to make it, and make it better than the developer on mybb forum can.

I hope to see this implemented, but if not, I understand.

Simply it would make it more of an 'app' than a 'forum' in my honest opinion.

I like the idea. it's annoying to see people post the same thing 50 times even though somebody's already said it.

Doing this on ajax could be really bandwith consuming, tho it's not impossible (using faye, for exmaple)

You'd just have to ajax a small element and track the post count of the thread and if it changes then you can update the entire thread for the new post? I don't really know the best way to do ~this~ but surely someone smarter than me, cough Aoki cough.

Thing is actually, I gave it some more thought and the biggest problem we've got with this is the pagnation. It's no problem implementing the ajax post thingy but if somehow you refresh the page you'd be on page 5 while the thread is already on page 10.

I didn't mean anything from what I said was more just a thought I had.

I really like this idea as well. I think it should be implemented, however if its not optimized properly it could have a huge toll on the bandwidth.
