SE Medium Thread for beginners

This is a thread of various resources gathered during the time i've been SEing which can help beginners get started and not ask useless questions. Didn't want to call it a megathreadso have a small thread instead, since more stuff has been added its not a small thread anymore, have a medium thread instead.

Photoshop Metadata -
When you edit pictures and save them remember to remove the metadata as it will show if the image has been edited or not.
To do so either save the picture > find its location > Right Click > Properties > Details > Remove Properties and Personal Information

or for faster use when saving in Photoshop

Instead of using theSaveorSave asfunctions use theSave for weband chose on MetadataNone.

Receipts -
Use websites likehttps://exploit.cat/ (website is offline as of 26.02.18)to create your own receipts without a template, if not just find the page you want to use as a receipt and do Save As > Webpage Complete

This will download the full webpage with nearly all details you need to create your own receipts.

For amazon receipts remember to use websites likehttps://camelcamelcamel.com/ to keep track of the prices and use the right ones for your receipt.


VoIP -
https://hangouts.google.com/ &https://www.textnow.com/ are the best and cheapest ones you'll find as far as i know.
Calling will reduce the time of each SE.

IF you really have to use your phone at least use a prefix to make your phone number private so they won't see it.

VCC -
The use of a VCC can be required when dealing with AR (Advanced Replacement), some companies will charge $1-2 to your vcc to check if it has any balance on it in case you don't ship their product back when their product gets to you.
https://www.kardiz.com/ This is the only one i tried so far and i personally would go for this one as it allows you charge your vcc with btc, one thing to remember is that you can't change the name of VCCs you'll create on 1 account so be sure not to load it up with a lot of money or you'll be fucked.
For the time being stay away from Kardiz, a lot of people and friends started to post that their BTC is getting stolen!
I'm looking for another option for the time being, i came acrosshttps://shakepay.cobut i haven't tried it myself yet so i can't comment about it!

File Corruption -
Sometimes companies will ask for videos or pictures, in case you can't find an image of what you need or have a video of it you can always try and corrupt the file so they won't be able to open it. The only website i've seen so far that does this service ishttps://corrupt-a-file.net/

Re-ships -
When you Se companies you might need to use a re-ship to have your things deliverer to a different country or have them delivered faster to a closer address. A reship is what you need if you don't have a drop or are on a schedule.

Remember that if the company bills you, the reship will forward the bill to the address you gave them, if you want double security use a reship and a drop. For heavy items i would not suggest a reship since they make you pay based on weight.

Fakes-
From time to time you may need to send photos or box companies, a great thing to do if you have money to spare is to invest in a fake/dummy product.
This will allow you to have your own pictures or be able to send them a product that looks similar and is similar in weight.

Extra-This is just some extra information you might find useful.

Use aSocks5 instead of aproxy orVPN when refunding through Amazon on cracked accounts, since most public proxys and vpns will be blacklisted already.

Be smart, if you are refunding on livechat or phone have your SN ready and POP too, if you want to go an extra mile and have pictures of the product showing the SN have them too, you don't want to make the reps waiting and wondering why you took 15 minutes to take a photo.

If you want to make your own library of fake POP then buy something small like an 8GB USB then save the pages or emails depending on how you work and then refund using the excuse it isn't big enough.This will allow you to have your own and personal library of ready to edit online receipts.

My personal preference for taking screenshots ishttps://getsharex.com/ instead of usingprt sc and paint to save your screenshot, use a software that will take less time. Sharex also records your screen and turns it into a gif, very nice software.
