The only thing he needs is:

Your billing address for that Order you are getting refunded
Your Order ID
Your Order Name
And your trust so you can send him the payment fee once he's done

are there any categories or products where this won't work on?

And is the refund back to the card or do they give a giftcard?

I buy an Amazon Gift Card for 200$, buy something for 200$, then refund the card?
