Do you have some Skills to build your PC for yourself?
for 1000 bucks , you should stay with amd an ryzen5 with an 8GB RX Vega 64 and ram is at the moment very cheap .

Find a PC build that you like. If you want to play games on high settings look for a good gpu.

So, i'd suggest this build:
GPU: GTX 1070
CPU: Intel i7 8700
RAM: 16GB DDR4

This is the build that I am currently saving up for. It is a beast for gaming (atleast for now) it will run any game easy. And will hold up for years.
I am suggesting you this build because I myself always added new parts to my pc my whole life and everytime I did it did not work as well as I though, there was always some issue. I now regret not buying a fully custom PC with all the good parts as I have always tried saving money by buying cheaper but still very good parts to my PC 1 by 1 but that just led to me needing to buy other newer parts because the ones before are just too slow for the new part I just added. I would say I almost spent the same amount on my PC as this one goes for and not only that but it also did not run as well as this one would and there were always problems. I really tried going into detail to help you out and whoever else needs some suggestions/opinions on a new PC build. Hope this really helped you out. Also I am not telling you to buy it I am just highly suggesting it. All the parts work with each other. I have researched about these parts for a long time.

Use the site called PCPARTPICKER as it lets you build your own custom PC and tells you if the parts you choose go together or not. It also shows you a list for each part from the cheapest to most expensive sites where you can buy your chosen part. It really helps a lot, so you wont over spend on a part that is cheaper on another site.
