Scar Or just Legendary AR

I really question why people call the rare and legendary AR the scar. I understand the real gun looks like a scar but people don't call the pistol a glock. There are also a lot of other guns that aren't called the real gun, they are just referred to as the in game name. Why is the Rare and Legendary ARknown as the Scar?

Yeh i guess its just cus they have modeled it like a scar and scar has allways been a popular warfare weapon so it would seem stupid not to add

this is a great point, but i think its better to have a "name" for the guns so when you play with friends and such you can be like i got the "scar" other then yo i got the "golden AR" just my opinion though!

I've always debated this with my friends and honestly came into fortnite a little late in the game so I'm also curious if anyone knows the origin of SCAR vs just Purple AR or Gold AR
