I don't think the actual deaths caused directly by the virus will be the biggest issue.

It's the cascading effects of trying to mitigate the disease that will do the most harm - such as below;

- Hospitals will be overwhelmed, so people with other life-threatening conditions will die as a result.

- The global markets will lose billions, if not trillions of dollars that may never be recovered - causing people to lose big portions of their life savings that is tied to 401k, Money Market, and Mutual Funds.

- Businesses are being ordered to close, as a result many people are out of work and unemployment is spreading as quickly as the virus.

- Industries like cruise and airliners will never be the same

It really depends on how panicked the people are. Since it is considered jst another flu. I felt like it is maybe overexaggerated

This is not really a "normal flu"...

This is a virus that, as far as we know, mutates and spreads really quickly, we needed the quarantine before it got really bad!

Look up more information about SARS and influenza so you have a better idea.

Unless you are +80 y/o or you smoke cigarettes or asthmatic, yeah you are gonna die, else the death rate it's just low as hell, so don't worry, coronavirus it's just a fancy name for flu (that can damage your lungs a little bit, but it's not that much)

Unless you already have a preexisting condition that makes it more dangerous for you, you'll be fine. So far the only people really dying from it are elderly and those with weakened immune systems and/or preexisting conditions. The average person will be fine.

With that said, wash your hands and avoid contact with people until things blow over.

People are worried while not listening to the advice. Wearing a face mask will not stop you catching it unless someone spits in your mouth often. It is transferred by touch, which is why the advice is to wash your hands often. Those buying toilet paper also don't realise that if you have it, it doesn't give you the trots.
