Serious My friend is in a depression what should i do to help him ?

You should try to talk the person into getting some help. That would help the person quite a lot. Talking from own experience

it is not easy to have a depression or hvaing a friend with it. But, being a listener is a good start for your friend to lessen the pain in his/her heart.

Listen to the and always be there for them, try and make things positive.

Go out with him, to change his ideas! (pay attention to the causes of the depressions !!).

What everyone else is saying is completely true. You should talk to him and be there for him (as I'm sure you have been) and invite him out of the house. If somebody takes time out of their life to spend it with them (not in school), it honestly is really refreshing. What you don't want to do is be their sole dependent because such a high expectation and attachment will be placed on you which, if you want to get out, will likely inhibit you due to do so because it'll crush him.

Well, you didn't describe his issue so I can't be helpful in this case, but try listening to him if he feels lonely or had lost something. Let him explain his issues so he can feel better, writing about his problem here won't help at all, you should stay with him in his hard time and he'll definitely recover from depression by time.

I'm on depression for something arround 2 years, you can't do anything, seriously.
Try to talk about the things who make his fate away, try to get him outside his house and then, after that try to get a medical consult

I went to the psichologist and within 5 minutes I was already diagnosed with depression and got some prescribed drugs to take(happy pills)

Talk, talk and talk. Also try going to a psychologist, it really helps.
