I honestly think there should be a rule that prevents a user from uploading a leak that someone else uploaded that day.

e.g I the Garry's Mod leaks you will see about 3 different leaks of the same addon "gSpeak".
People just download other peoples shit and upload it in 2 secs just for credits.

What do you guys think? Should this not be allowed? Leave opinions below.

I thought that already is a rule - being a duplicate thread?

If you copy someones thread then it's a duplicate, why should there be a difference if you just change the download link? It promotes copypasta.

I think it would be abit hard to control all the posts/threads that are posted with the same download link. One way would be hosting stuff on NULLED so you can file signature. This way there won't be exact duplicates. Other than that i don't really know how this would be achived.

Bypassing this would just require you to include a txt file or similar to throw off the detection though :( - though it may stop noobs Tongue

Well i don't expect the mods on here to sit down and go through every single file that has been uploaded. So i think that would be the best way to go :sip:

Same goes for threads and posts, I assume the staff rely on reports to handle most of the content.

I think its kind off annoying when i try to find different stuff and get the same as last time. But put in perspective I don't think there's much the administrators can do to prevent it, unless its reported to them.
Take into consideration how long time it takes to confirm whether its duplicated, or not.
And then consider the man power it will take to keep the whole site clear at all times.
I highly doubt that its an easy project.
All that been said, i do agree that it would be nice if they could keep it off the site. But it's not that important to me in the end
