Serious Why do people often compare things from other ones far for comparison

It's really annoying and cringe when people often compare about certain things when they're far-fetched.

Comparisons like in games where Minecraft is being compared to Roblox. Battle royale games to top down
shooter games like overwatch or csgo Open source device operating systems like Android to private ones like iOS, blackberry, colorOS.

Then what is worthy of comparison? Or do you mean contrast?
