Should 4chan be shut down?

4chan can both be pretty good and terrifying at the same time tbh

Yeah i agree they can be really funny at times but very messed up at others but I think it shouldn't be banned because people can do what they want

Why shut down 4chan? If Internet history has taught us anything, it's that trying to shut something down will only result in its members going somewhere else.

Look what happened to Encyclopedia Dramatica. It made a new site.
Look what happened to NeoGAF. It made a new and worse site, ResetEra.
Look what happened to Facepunch. It became Knockout.

If 4chan shuts down I guarantee you that someone will make a new site. That's the way of the Internet.

4chan is decent sometimes some interesting debates but some people on there should be locked up for sure specially on /b

Half of the stuff on /b/ makes me want to scrub my eyes with /b/leach to stop them from burning. However, as you said, you can have interesting debates. I've had a few myself.

Idk if you're familiar with their "rekt" threads or "True criminal stories" threads but man they need to purge that shit asap instead of allowing it its fucking awful lmao it has to be illegal to post that shit
