I have a GTX 1070 and im curious if it's even possible or worth it to mine bitcoin with it.

Don't bother. You will spend more money on your electric bill than you will earn from mining, not to mention the damage you will likely do to your card.

Mining cryptocurrency is no longer profitable unless you have quite a significant amount of money to start with up front, or get lucky by choosing the right alternate coin(s) that increase substantially in value over time.

As the guy above me said, it's not profitable at all and you will just lose money. If it's your hobby by all means go ahead. But in terms of money making, absolutely not.

Purely mining off of that? No, it won't be profitable. Perhaps find a newer cryptocurrency that might take off or look into other solutions (there are some services that pay you to use some allotment of your hardware, for example, which could be minimally profitable).
