I had the same question. A guy I liked played LoL and I even had thoughts of starting it too. He once said that getting a man hooked on games is worse than getting him hooked on drugs. But then I gave up on that idea because I realized he was right. If I start playing League of Legends, it's definitely going to suck me in and I'm going to forget about everything else in my life. So I quickly gave up on the idea of starting to play it.

I wouldn't recommend it, you will face up unskilled players and most of them randoms... Except if you got friends that playing the same game. Then things are going to be okay for you.!

I mean give it a go, its not for everyone but you may find you really enjoy it.

I don't think it's worth getting into anymore. The original enjoyment was from an entire community learning and competing. It's a solved game now. Play for a few hundred hours if you get into it, but don't aim for climbing the ladder imo.

I just started playing it actually, pretty fun I'd say but definitely takes some time to learn.
