Is subscribing to a provider of stock photography such as shutterstock is worth it?

no i dont think so. i had once for a while shutterstock i used it maybe once or twice. i think unsplash i a great alternative

Just use unsplash or something, although I guess it's kinda worth it if you use a lot of stock photos (e.g you run a business)

Their free trial is okay Smile Depending on what do you need, they have some amazing illustrators from Eastern Europe. If you go with the free trial, you can get 10 licensed for commercial used illustrations, instead of buying them on CreativeMarket, for example. Many of the artists work on multiple platforms, so Shutterstock has a free trial, but CreativeMarket-like sites, don't.

i dont think so, you can get good pictures from anywhere else or remove the watermark with photoshop content aware

But you cannot licence them. Think of Shutterstock not only as an image bank, but a platform to make sure that your clients would never have copyright issues.

i use unsplash or pexels for stock images. it's fine but i would not say better than shutterstock

if you do content creation for someone its really worth it, saves a lot of time in the long run

Depends on your clients budget.. you should defenitely check the EnvatoElements
