At school we don't have the Task Manager nor cmd prompt, so I have no idea to shutdown this "RAT" thing.

Basically I've got a proxy which can block "Dans Guardian" (search it up), but they can still monitor me, they can also control my computer. Is there any way to stop it?

What do you mean they can control your computer? What operating system do you use?

All these school restrictions remind me of the times where I had to deal with a program called DeepFreeze, which effectively sandboxed the system. Nothing you did on the computer saved. It would simply revert to the point where the system was "frozen" each time you boot up. It was a relatively low-level program, mildly annoying to deal with without administrator privileges. Fortunately, the program didn't run at a low enough level. I was able to boot into their (unprotected!) BIOS boot menu and boot into my Linux USB. It took me the whole day to find out how to unfreeze it, but it ended up being a hidden system directory on the root of the OS drive. If you're able to do something like that, you'd be golden (you just can't really revert the changes unless you have access to the software).

Just don't do stuff you're not supposed to do?

Those shitty ass programs are there for a reason and if you're not able to get rid off them by yourself we can't help ya

I have the same thing, my school has an annoying RAT and I can't visit this website with it on.

I don't think the school can "control your computer"

RAT = Remote Access Tool

It's called a firewall kids. They block out sites via their firewall and it doesn't allow users to go on there.

If you are talking about the wifi and shit. That's called a botnet. That monitor what sites you go on. They don't have remote access due to it.

You can't rat someone via wifi.

And If it's a school computer. They wouldn't try to get full access to monitor everyone on every computer in the school. They just track what you do on the computer so if something were to go up. They can find out who did it easier.

No, it's a RAT. They're pretty stupid to leave it visible, they can take control of our computer as well as monitor us.

It's not a RAT but it's kind of a visible RAT, if you get what I mean.

EDIT: It's a program btw..

When I was at school (and Windows XP was the latestthing), I discovered that unplugging a desktop'snetwork cable just after the point oflogin (and plugging it back in during the login process) resulted in logging me in with local administrative access on the PC. Probably wouldn't work these days, though.
