Singleplayer or Multiplayer?

Single player for me is good when you want to create / test out ideas, designs, mods etc.
Multiplayer is what I prefer Most as then I can sit back with friends / family and play
on a public server. (And Enjoy the Game)

If you are wanting to play mini games just to get away from regualar minecraft it is a lot better to go for multiplayer servers rather than going singleplayer just because it can get boring alone.
