So Sandbox is dying?

From what ive seen,half of the gmod playerbase are on darkrp or some other gamemode

Sandbox is only dying due to lack of dedicated server owners, on nothing but a near addon-less server, I at one point attracted a few people. people wanna play sand box, no one knows where to find interesting servers! :please:

interesting addons, a bit advertising - and here is in your server play about 12-18 people.

Sadly ive seen that vanilla servers get the most players, which sucks because devs who put a lot into their servers dont get the players that others do

If you want you can make your own server, making sandbox server is easy. You buy hosting, make collection with some cool addons and add it to server, that's it.

Not really. Yes, a lot of people are playing on custom gamemodes, but Sandbox was and will remain the all-time classic. And as you know, an all-time classic never dies.

sometimes its funny to go for Sandbox but its not what Gmod is about anymore your right

The Gmod playerbase as a whole is very much not dying, and is still infact one of the most played games on steam even after 15 years of being released. However yes, Sandbox is dying mainly due to shitty owners and because Sandbox servers are not like the used to be. Same with DarkRP, it became rinsed with copy-paste gmodstore addons.
