I suggest buying a new computer, unless your computer has a special purpose. If there is no other requirement, then increase the memory on it.

Just keep saving up for a PC or ask around your area anyone selling a PC cheap thats how I got mine the guy wanted 100 for it I got at least 600 worth of gear in the PC so I lucked out.

I'd just build a new one. You could make a much better PC with $300 dollars than probably anything you can upgrade.

I think it will be hard to upgrade as it's too old. you have to change the motherborad, cpu, gpu, rams, hdd, power supply...you'll resuse only the box and dvd player!!
