I'm using MyBB for my forums (don't worry it's not like NBB or anything of the sort), and it literally takes them so long to load, at least a few second.

How could I speed up the loading time for the forums?

When's the last time you optimized your DB?

do you compress content with CPanel?

Compress HTML and images. You can also compress CSS and JS but be careful because in some instances it can cause some errors.

If you just started a forum and you're already getting shit speed you might want to switch hosts. Are you using an offshore hosting solution or mainstream host such as GoDaddy?

Optimize DB, compress content. Get a good host. If you're on a dedi or VPS get a CDN.

Both are likely to be slow Tongue

Never (or at least not that I know of) & no.

There are a few things you could do.
  • Move to a VPS and stop using shared hosts.
  • Use GZip Page Compression (You can edit that in the MyBB settings)
  • Look if there are any errors which may cause the slow speed.
  • Don't use a ton of plugins. Only use the ones you really need.
  • Turn on the debug information and look on which pages the forum loads slow.

the last one isnt really useful ?
Well compressing the images to low size will also give you good loading speed. or else if you have alot of images! ge ta skin with no images!
