In the Star Trek the Next Generation episode "Relics", why was Scotty ignored by the crew? Shouldn't everyone be clamoring around him to hear stories from this living legend?

No, the wanted to give hem space, because he had a lot to ajust!! And he was missing his own time and his own ship

It was a great depiction of a situation when your grandpa tries to teach you how to use your smartphone, cause back in the day he used telegraph, so that means that he's a pro.
It's annoying and all you want is to get him the hell out of your room.
