Starters?

I've heard people have a good time learning on Codeacademy.

like fdigl said codecademy or you could watch youtube tutorials to get the basics and then download a pdf and learn up.

also if you're getting into coding i would suggest starting a project you like so you have motivation to keep going.

I've been using CodeAcademy to learn some languages, it gives a good base. After you finish the courses, I would try and do practical things like creating my own website and such.

Codecademy is a great resource to start learning. Google will also be your best friend, because pretty much any issue you'll ever encounter can be found already resolved online. If you're running into a tough spot you're also always free to ask us here.

You could try Codecademy like the others said, however I really don't like it. It's very repetitive and buggy in my opinion. You could always download some free resources and see how they've created the design and then play around with it and see how you can change it.

It provides a good base tho. Especially if you have no previous knowledge about coding

Oh yeah, definitely. I just think after you have a basic understanding, then start drifting away from it. When I used it, it was incredibly boring.

The whole point of learning something is to be eased out of it and then begin to apply it on your own. You won't become some amazing developer by sticking to one resource. Of course it's going to be repetitive because it's attempting to drill the basics in your head so you have a foundation to work off of.
Once you get the basics, at least in my opinion, you should start your own projects and learn from trial and error.

If you're a student you can get the Github Education pack which includes all these free and discounted resources. Once you sign up and have your status verified you'll find subscriptions to tutorial sites like Pluralsight and Udacity which have hours of tutorials about programming.
