Minecraft servers are hard to get running from scratch as you have to be better than your "Competitors" which means spending 20 hours a day making your server better than there's. Only issue is they will have a dedi running 10 minecraft servers and having a main Hub crossing over to the different servers. So in reality you want to be making 4 different servers at least.

Such as Main Hub server Then have 3 other servers branch of it.

I think it's much better to make it local, like only in your country. Global servers are already taken, and popular. Start it small, and grow it little by little

very saturated wouldn't recommend. make a darkrp server on gmod. those are easy to make players
