After steam greenlight was shutdown there has been a lot of new games coming out. 90% of these games are completely rubbish. They lack quality and they are too expensive.
What do you guys think about this?

Steam was being filled with shovelware even with Greenlight, Valve just needs to have a team dedicated to cracking down on this.

Their idea was to take down Greenlight and add a fee. But that fee is only like $100. Like fdigl said, they need a team to crack down on that stuff, but they aren't going to do it. Valve wants Steam to somehow stay afloat by itself and they don't touch it much. But I think in the long run, that isn't going to work. They could at the very least increase that fee.

Asking for a $100 fee is just begging for trouble.

AAA developers aren't going to be all in a tissy about any small fee. And any indie dev that's serious won't either. Tongue
