Hi I just wanted to suggest some small feedback regarding a post where it is required to hide the information.

Its not that intuitive to know to hide the post, and I checked the sticky on some of the different areas and couldnt see it putlinehow to hide certain information in a post.
Perhaps just a few lines in the Sticky which outlines how to do this?

Apologies if this has already been suggested.

It's in the announcements section:

Thanks for the response Faded.
I thought it might serve new members more if there was a line or two that mentions this post, or its details in the Sticky thread in those areas of the board.

Im not trying to be critical of this, and dont want to come off as some kind of douche about it. My main point was only that it wasn't super intuitive for me so I thought this might benefit new users.

Thanks again.

I agree with Fitfattony we could make an announcement in all leak sections for hide tags.
Please read the award requirements here before applying for them.
Rules and Regulations | Support Section | How to use Hide Tags
Don't message me to join a group, simply request to join one here.

No disrespect Bios but if you are going to insult people making comments like that, I would appreciate a little more conversation, rather than an insult.

I am not blind, I was only unfamiliar with the process of using the Hide function. Hence the comment.

BBCode was introduced in 1998 by the message board software Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) and implemented in Perl. And In 2000 BBCode was used in 2000 phpbb and now is used on almost all old & new forums. So its been around for years. Sorry but to me its normal and dont realize not everyone gets the simplicity of it or how to use it.

Thanks for this =) I'll definitely keep this saved if a mod answers or something, was curious for this question too.

I suspect many of the people here probably weren't even born yet in 2000... and what's obvious to some isn't always obvious to all. Case in point, in your imagetelling him that he's blind, you used "your" instead of "you're" which I learned about in grade 2 and I'm pretty sure English grammar's been around for almost as long as BBCode lol

I agree with Fitfattony though, it doesn't have to be anything crazy, maybe just a modal that comes up the first time you create a thread in an applicable section... a short description, a link to the thread mentioned above to find out more and perhaps a "don't show this again" checkbox... could even mention the URL shortener rule in the same modal and kill two birds with one stone.

Faded, you way wish to fix the image in that thread too... anyone needing the "How to use.." section of it won't make sense of"you can use them by writing [Image: uznnbg.png]" ...and, just to be picky, while you're there you could alsoremove that question mark or rephrase it to "How do I.."

Cheers =)

Life is like a box of chocolates, it doesn't last as long for fat people.
