They're considered one of the best bands of all time for a reason. Each member (even Ringo) have great solo albums too that are also worth a listen. Also try Harry Nilsson and Beach Boys Pet Sounds.
the first half of their career as the beatles is pretty uninteresting, with some great songs in between, but rubber soul is where things really kick off, every record from that point on is great

I really like the Beatles, they really did a lot of evolution with their sound, and it never got to a point where an original fan would hear it and go 'What the fuck is this?' They kept up with the musical times I mean, obviously if a person timetraveled late Beatles albums to 1959 people would hate it.
In my life it seems like I "rediscover" Beatles just when I need it the most. Some of the songs are so fun, I forget to worry ha ha. (Sorry OP to quote you on "rediscover", but I could myself not think of a better word.)
