As the section on Counter-Strike is here, I said to do a small survey about the future of Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensivegames.
In your opinion, what do you think will happen to the two games in the next 5-10 years?

PS: I try to get some feedback on an article for my website and I decided to hear the opinions of others.

Honestly, if valve doesn't decide to make the game better/ any more games better than the current CS, it's bound to die out in probably less than 5-10 years. Yet it may be used for nostalgia, like Halo and TF2.

cs go will dominate over cs 1.6 by my opinion. cs go is free now and you can will steam money with it .

maybe Valve will port CS:GO to Source 2 engine or possibly make a new game, however i highly doubt they'd make a new game as that will destroy the current Skin economy in the game

I can't speak for 1.6, but I can't see GO changing much as it's still pretty popular and I don't think that will be changing

Valve will invest in these games until something bigger come to take them down
