I'd say it's good, but it's its own thing. This isn't the book or game acted out live. Just think of it as another parallel universe, and it's easy to get into.

I like the song the bard made about paying the Witcher.

I enjoyed the show, but the least interesting character in the series was the Witcher, which is terrible news if this continues.

My friend talked me into watching it and I've got to say I actually really enjoyed the show. For reference, I've never read the books or played the games, but I'm passingly familiar with the concent.

Netflix's Witcher series reminds me of Sam Raimi's Hercules and Xena: Warrior Princess. Lots of action, kind of campy (in a good way), and enough story to keep your attention. The fight scenes were especially great, and I thought all of the actors/actresses did a good or at least serviceable job. I'm one of many people that thought the Nilfgaard armor looked awful, so I'm really excited to see them changing it up for season 2.

Overall I'd give it a thumbs up. My friend, who is way more versed in Witcher lore, liked it but holds it in a different regard than the books and games. It's a good series to check out if you're looking for something new, especially if you were fans of Herc and Xena or Sam Raimi style flicks.

They really nailed Geralt's dry sense of humor, as well as showing that he is good despite being despised by the everyone. Its got a certain detective vibe to it as well, which Im happy to see.

After watching it, I went and bought the WItcher 3 game and expansions, then proceeded to spend 200+hours of my life in his world. Both are well worth a binge.

The leading cast is really good on playing Geralt. I was quite surprised.
